The Music Centre is proud of the long tradition of bringing the best and most important musicians in the world to work with the young Israeli talents and perform in concerts. As an international music center, in its early years, the centre hosted the great musicians of the 20th century, including Isaac Stern, Arthur Rubinstein, Pablo Casals, Leonard Bernstein, Yitzhak Perlman, Yo Yo Ma and Alfred Brandel, and later important artists such as Emmanuel Ax, Ivri Gitlis, János Starker and Murray Perahia, president of the centre to this day. Since then, the center continues to be a magnet for musicians who come to share their experience and passion for music with young artists at the beginning of their career.
