Prof. Dr. Klaus K. Weigele, born in Weingarten (Württemberg) in 1965, grew up in Ravensburg and studied music, history and cultural management in Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg and Cologne. He worked as a teacher until 2002 and since then has been the director of the State Academy for Young Musicians in Baden-Württemberg, as well as an honorary professor at Biberach University of Applied Sciences. He has also worked for many years as a choirmaster and voice coach at the State Academy, workshops and training courses for teachers and is a member of juries and cultural advisory bodies. He has been a member of the executive committee of the Baden-Württemberg State Music Council since 2011, a member of the Baden-Württemberg State School Advisory Board since 2017 and Chairman of the Board of the Swabian Spring Music Festival.
