The Jerusalem Music Centre’s Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is back on the stage for festive and moving summer concerts. During the summer holidays the Young Israel Philharmonic will gather for ten days of rehearsals with the best musicians and teachers in Israel, headed by conductor Yi-An Xu.

The annual summer academy of the Young Israel Philharmonic is the peak of the Jerusalem Music Centre’s summer activities for the promotion of outstanding young musicians in Israel. More than 200 players of string, wind and percussion instruments, pianists and singers from all over Israel take part in the Jerusalem Music Centre’s programmes where they get the chance to learn and play with their friends in inspiring courses.

We invite you to join us for the Young Israel Philharmonic’s concerts and to be touched together with us by the professionalism, excitement and spirit of youth which drives the next generation of outstanding young musicians in Israel.

The performance of the piece "Emek" by Latvian-born, Israeli composer Mark Lavry, will mark the promotion of cross-cultural relations between Latvia and Israel, with the kind support of the Uniting History Foundation (Latvia).
